for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to test
relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which will be
communicated by the department. Following the interview and technical
exercise, the selection panel will recommend candidates to attend a generic
managerial competency assessment. The competency assessment will be
testing generic, managerial competencies using DPSA SMS competency
assessment tools. All short listed candidates will be subjected to screening
and security vetting to determine their suitability for employment, as well as
qualification verification. Successful candidate will be expected to enter into a
performance agreement.


SALARY : R124 788 – R140 454 per annum (The Salary will commensurate with relevant

REQUIREMENTS : Qualification that allows current registration with the SANC as Nursing
Assistant. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council.
DUTIES : Demonstrate elementary understanding of nursing legislation and related legal
and ethical nursing practices. Perform an elementary clinical nursing practice
in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined
by the relevant health facility. Promote quality of elementary nursing care as
directed by the professional scope of practice and standards as determined
by the relevant health facility.
