ERRATUM: Kindly note that the post of Operational Manager Nursing
Specialty-PN-B3 Trauma/Orthopaedic (for Chris Hani Baragwanath
Academic Hospital) with Ref No: CHBAH 202 (X1 Post) advertised in the
Public Service Vacancy Circular 29 dated 16 August 2019, the requirements
of the post has been amended as follows: Basic R425 qualification (i.e Diploma
or Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with
the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Post basic nursing
qualification with a duration of at least one (1) year accredited with the SANC
in a clinical specialty. A minimum of nine (9) years appropriate/recognizable
experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South
African Nursing Council (SANC) in General Nursing. At least five (5) years of
the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognizable experience in a
clinical specialty after obtaining the one (1) year post-basic qualification in

REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 and 05 years’ experience in Human Resource Department at least
02 years must be in HRD and PMDS or National Diploma/ three (3) years
qualification and 02-years’ experience in Human Resource Department at least
01 years must be in HRD & PMDS experience.
DUTIES : Supervise/Monitor the coordination of the training and Development
interventions as per operational plan. Compile Workplace Skills Plan. Training
staff on Performance management system and other generic trainings. Ensure

compliance on Performance Management system for Level 1-14 as per policy
guideline. Monitoring coordinate placement of non-clinical interns, job
shadowing and experiential learners within institution as per Skills development
Act. Monitoring implementation of AET Program. Coordinate the Induction and
orientation programme in the institution for the new recruits. Assist with
development of Job Descriptions. Management of Projects (Skills & PMDS
audits etc.). Supervise PMDS Department. Training on PMDS policy. Oversee
the submission of PMDS Quarterly reports/assessments. Capturing of PMDS
document. Advice on PMDS policy. Submit Weekly/monthly reports. Must be
willing to rotate in Human Resource Department.
